The Benefits

We are at the forefront of a microbial green revolution. And at the same time the population continues to grow and therefor increases demands from agriculture. Due to the increasing use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides the soil has become devoid of essential minerals needed to meet this demand.

Ecobiofertilizer will increase yields by around 20% by fixing atmospheric nitrogen and other nutrients in the soil and making them available to plants. At the same time making insoluble forms of phosphate soluble and again, available to the plants. It produces hormones and anti-metabolites which promote root growth.

Since no nutrients are lost during Anaerobic Digestion, farmers can close the nutrient cycle and reuse vital minerals. Additionally, the unique benefit of the organic matter in the digestate will build up the humus content in the soil, which is particularly crucial for arid or damaged soil with low carbon content.

Both liquid and pelletised Ecobiofertilizer are very easy to transport and store with  no damage or loss. They are also very easy and safe to apply to the soil in the correct quantities for both the soil and crop needs. There is no requirement for special or new expensive farm machinery. As the liquid can be diluted then applied using current systems and the pellets are formed to a consistent size and shape, so they are distributed evenly and accurately reducing waste and leach into water courses.

Envioronmental benefits of Ecobiofertilizer

BY USING 1 TONNE OF ECOBIOFERTILIZER INSTEAD OF 1 TONNE OF ARTIFICIAL OR CHEMICAL FERTILIZER YOU WILL SAVE 1 TONNE OF OIL, 7 TONNES OF CO2 EMMISSIONS AND 108 TONNES OF WATER. ref (Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresourses Association).

When raw manure is used, it is left to decompose on the soil letting the powerful greenhouse gases, Methane, Nitrous Oxide and Carbon Dioxide release directly into the atmosphere. Not only damaging the environment but giving off obnoxious odours and making a perfect breeding ground for huge infestations of flies.

Ecobiofertilizer strengthens the soil profile whilst preventing the passage of hazardous chemicals to the water sources, leaving them untainted and improves plant growth without the detrimental side effects of chemical or artificial fertilizer.

Modern farming and food production relies heavily on industrially manufactured mineral fertilizer which in turn account for huge amounts of energy use. The Haber-Bosch process used in manufacturing chemical or artificial fertilizer is responsible for 2% of the world’s energy consumption and 5% of the world’s gas consumption at a time when we all need to reduce energy use where ever possible.

There is growing envioronmental concern, as synthetic or chemical fertilizers have negative envioronmental effects such as reducing soil fertility and causing envioronmental damage to water courses and storage reservoirs through chemical leach and imbalance causing massive algal growth . This in turn is killing natural plant and fish stocks throughout the world as habitats change dramatically and the algae take over and can eventually block them up with dire results.
